Nike made a special set of sunglasses for its track and field athletes participating in the Olympic Games in Rio, and now you can buy a pair for yourself. For $1200 The Nike Wing is a single body, curved glass “sun shield” – which the company says it is the first of its kind – which wraps around your temples, to eliminate the need for hinges.
Designed in collaboration with a Zeiss who is a German optical manufacturer, the Wing has a vented silicone brow bar to prevent fogging and fractal redundancy to increase the aerodynamics.
Wing also weighs four ounces less than the average pair of sunglasses, and comes into contact with your face at fewer point, which I think is important when you are trying to win the race. But you need it while playing a golf game.
The Nike Wing will be available today for Nike.com
