The Purpose Behind Launching The “Stories” on Instagram

The application for sharing photos Instagram urging users to publish photos and videos more often. Users will be able to create Instagram stories which has been launched this week in a new update of the app. The new feature will allow users to share content, which disappears after 24 hours.

Instagram made the announcement on Tuesday. The company said that users “do not have to worry about over-posting Instead, you can share as much as you like throughout the day -. With so much creativity as you want.”

A new feature is very similar to Live Stories on Snapchat. Snapchat launched this feature in 2014.

Instagram users will be able to see the “story” of a person clicking on their profile picture which has been now seen in the top of the screen of the app home page. Unlike in normal Instagram there are posts, likes, tag and comments which users can make on the photos and videos.

Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom told the Wall Street Journal, a new feature designed to create “a place where you can post anything you want without nagging fear, to make someone like that or not?”

Yes! Instagram story has no option of tag, comment and like. All you need to do is click on the story read the user’s story and swipe right or left to view another story.

In social media, people have had mixed reactions on Instagram stories.
