What You Need to Know About the Apple’s Self Driving Car Project

Apple brought up the secret car plans after a long time and obviously that includes the project focus shift to autonomous driving, according to a new report.

Bob Mansfield, who had previously served as senior vice president of technology, want Project Titan to be more self-driving system, though, Apple has not scrapped its target of a full electric vehicles. The company operates in cars to make it fully autonomous. It even hired a man who ruled the automotive of the BlackBerry’s software division reported by Bloomberg.

Dan Dodge is not working alone in driving technology, but also QNX, a software platform found in many infotainment systems in cars.

John Wright leads the software while the DJ Novtney leading Hardware Engineering, and Benjamin Lyon leads the sensor. Apple also chose Ford employee Todd Gray in May according to Bloomberg.

Rumors has it Mansfield and Dodge hopes to launch an Apple Car in 2021, although the company initially targeted release date of 2020. The delay is probably due to the departure of Steve Zadesky, who previously led the same project.
